National Planning Commission

The National Planning Commission (NPC) was established through an Act of Parliament in 2017as an autonomous public institution mandated to lead in the medium- and long-term national development planning and overseeing implementation of the plans. In order to fulfil its mandate effectively and efficiently, an opportunity has risen to fill-up three positions with qualified persons at its Secretariat in Lilongwe, as part of the institutional capacity building. The following are the required personnel and work-related traits for the position.


Grade: NP 10
Reporting to: Senior Administration Officer
Purpose of the job: To provide messengerial services

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that mail is delivered in a timely manner
Collect, sort and dispatch internal and external mail
Maintain incoming and outgoing mail register
Deliver documents/files from both internally and externally
Operating office equipment e.g. photocopying and binding machines
Running office errands
Support with serving refreshments where necessary
Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experience
• Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
• 2 years’ experience as Dispatch Rider or Messenger
• Having a Motorcycle driving licence will be an added advantage
